then you watch the lights flashing, the tires burning, and the heart pumping fast. as fast as the speed of light.

Situation: Suasana syuting TVC.
Copywriter:
"Lo excited gak sih ngerjain ini?"
Director:
"Ummm... mayan deh! Kenapa mangnya?"
Copywriter:
"Jujur... gue gak se-excited itu. Mungkin karna ini bukan kerjaan asli gue yah?
jadi ngerjainnya kaya gak pake hati gituh..."
Director:
"Ini masih mending lagi. Masih banyak yang lebih caur tauk..."
Copywriter:
"Gitu yah?"
Director:
"Kalo masih di komersil sih susah bikin yang pake hati.
Kalo mau bener-bener pake hati, bikin video klip ajah. Atau lo coba bikin script film. Pasti bener-bener pake hati kerjanya. Kalo bikin iklan komersil siiih...
susah pake hati."
Copywriter:
"Masa sih? Biasanya gue pake hati loh bikin kerjaan gue ituh.
Ada bondingnya gitu sama brand gue. Kalo ini...
gue ngerasa cuma melakukan kewajiban ajah."
Director:
"Maksud lo yang pake hati itu yang gimana? Lo yakin itu dorongan hati
dan bukan nafsu? Kalo menurut gue, perasaan kecewa karena hasilnya jelek
atau seneng karena hasilnya bagus itu lebih ke nafsu.
Nafsu buat bikin sesuatu yang bagus buat brand lo..."
Copywriter:
"Emang gitu yah???"

Nope. Siapa bilang bikin yang komersil gak bisa pake hati?
APA PUN bisa dibikin pake hati. dan APA PUN HARUS dibikin pake hati.
karena APA PUN itu yang dibikin pake hati, hasilnya pasti bagus.

Gue cinta brand gue, makanya agak susah waktu harus melakukan pekerjaan yang bukan brand gue. brarti harus belajar jatuh cinta lagi. jadi berasa selingkuh, makanya gak pake hati!
ahahahahah...


then again, it's just a different point of view.
between a copywriter and a director.
nothing to be argue about.
there's only a lesson learned again.

what will happen if 2 persons with a similar character meet? it will be this remarkable movie I reviewed now.

sinistic. manipulative. sarcastic. satire. whatever you need to get you sit still, though it was only a conversation between 2 people with the same character.

yes, it was a remake of a movie with the same title in 1972. but it's a shame if you missed this one. especially every dialog details. the great part is that in the 1972 version also featured Michael Caine, but as the younger character (Milo Tindle, now played by Jude Law). in the 2007 version, he plays the older character (Andre Wyke). I think this movie really proves one as a remarkable actor.

directed by Kenneth Branagh, the movie opens with a young guy (Jude Law) drove a long way to a house by the hill. the camera angle was right at the top of the door. so you can only see Jude Law having a conversation with a voice. until the voice told him to come in.

then the 'war' has just begun.

I must say that the script is a very well done! I haven't watched the 1972 version, but I see no reason not to watch it...

the question is... who has it???

My Blueberry Nights

it was a movie about a companion.
how everyone, anyone can be the best companion.
at least for a moment.

and the company also teaches something while they passed our lives by.

it was Elizabeth (Norah Jones) who had her heart broken and end up haunting a coffee shop where she left her key so her ex would find them.
a blueberry pie accompany her besides the good looking shop owner, Jeremy (Jude Law), an English man trapped in New York.

the broken hearted Elizabeth decides to start a journey wandering the states, a soul-searching journey.

from one state to another, the companion of different kinds of characters brought her back to New York. where she'll find the companion she's ever wanted for the rest of her life.

it was Elizabeth's journey that taught us so many things about love and life.
